St. Patrick is one of the patrons of Ireland.
The most common St Patrick's Day symbol is the Shamrock.
Many people wear green clothes and there are parades around the world.
Leprechauns are also believed to leave their hiding place on this day, some of them have fun making mischief!
Some children try to catch a leprechaun as they are believed to hold a pot of gold at the end of rainbows. Leprechauns look like an old man and stand at around two feet tall.
All dressed up in green, they have pointy ears and ginger hair.
They like spending time making shoes or looking for gold!

Mucha gente se viste de verde y hay desfiles en muchos países por todo el mundo.
Se cree que en este día, los duendes dejan sus escondites, ¡Algunos de ellos se lo pasan bien haciendo travesuras!
Además, algunos niños intentan pillar un duende ya que se cree que guardan un caldero de oro al final de los arcoiris. Los duendecillos son como señores mayores de dos pies de alto. Visten completamente de verde, tienen orejas puntiagudas y pelo rojo.
Les gusta pasar el tiempo haciendo zapatos o buscando oro.
